七、部件原理

1.The MSOV has these components:

– Butterfly valve

– Dual coil solenoid (auto and continuous run coils)

-Pneumatic actuator.

2.The secondary speed control controls the position of the MSOV butterfly valve. The pneumatic speed sensor on the TGA sends a pulsed pneumatic signal in proportion to turbine speed. This signal goes to the secondary speed control fluidic circuit. This pneumatic circuit controls the MSOV pneumatic actuator.

(1) The primary function of the modulating and shutoff valve is to prevent air flow by closing or to keep a constant downstream pressure that changes in relation to the external air pressure. The secondary function is to change downstream pressure as necessary when an external pneumatic signal is received. In the modulating mode, a remotely-mounted bleed-off device controls the pressure to the valve opening chamber and opens the chamber to set the butterfly element. The valve opens when electrical power is supplied by one or the other of two coils connected to the solenoid valve. When electrical power is off the valve will close. The schematics are shown with no pressure or power supplied.

(2) Air inlet pressure moves through a downstream facing probe to the closed solenoid. When electrical power is supplied to the solenoid valve, the ball moves to the opposite opening from that shown. Air inlet pressure continues through the supply port to a remotely-mounted bleed-off device and back to the actuator opening chamber through the control port. When in the primary mode, the bleed-off device is off. When control pressure is sufficient to compress the actuator spring, the butterfly element moves toward the open position. As the butterfly opens, air inlet pressure goes around the butterfly to the downstream sense connection and to the actuator closing chamber. The actuator opening diaphragm has a larger area than the closing piston. Because of the larger net opening area, an opening force results even when pressure is supplied to the actuator closing chamber.

(3) When the solenoid is energized,control pressure goes to the actuator opening chamber and the butterfly element moves toward open. Downstream pressure increases with increasing inlet pressure until the force generated by the downstream pressure in the actuator closing chamber, in combination with the actuator closing spring, balances the pressure in the opening chamber. If the downstream pressure continue to increase, the force balance would be upset in the closing direction and the butterfly would move toward the closed position to decrease the level of the downstream pressure. When the downstream pressure decreases, the force balance is upset in the opening direction. This causes the butterfly element to move toward the open position to put back the downstream pressure to the necessary value.

(4) In the modulating mode the bleed-off device modulates the control pressure to the valve opening chamber to position the butterfly element for the required downstream pressure. When downstream pressure increases, the bleed-off device opens to vent control pressure and decrease the opening force. The butterfly element moves toward the closed position to decrease downstream pressure. When downstream pressure decreases, the bleed-off device closes to increase the control pressure to the actuator opening chamber and increase the opening force. The butterfly element moves to the open position to increase the downstream pressure.

九、在飞机系统中的工作原理及互联

The MSOV is a pneumatically-operated butterfly valve that controls airflow to the Turbine gearbox assembly (TGA). A pneumatic actuator moves the butterfly valve.

The MSOV normally operates as a two position valve, either full open or full closed. When the MSOV is open, it supplies the airflow to the turbine. The MSOV pneumatic actuator modulates the butterfly valve position during secondary speed control. A position indicator on the MSOV shows the position of the butterfly valve. The MSOV attaches to the TGA with a V-band clamp. The MSOV also attaches with a V-band clamp to the inlet isolator. The inlet isolator decreases the vibration and noise from the ADP assembly. The inlet duct attaches to the inlet isolator with a Vband clamp.

Air flows through the MSOV to the turbine gearbox assembly (TGA). The TGA turns the ADP hydraulic pump. The LSCU supplies primary speed control and overspeed protection.
